Irish Blessings

For us, no trip to Europe is complete without a stopover in Ireland to visit the Kinne-Coyle family.

We missed the big kids this time – with Genevieve specialist nursing in England and Fionn producing music in Berlin – but we did get to spend precious time with Alexander and his beautiful parents.

Annette and I worked together in Brisbane almost 40 years ago - but for decades now, she and Declan and the family have lived in the lovely seaside town of Bray, just south of Dublin.

Whenever we visit, the special joy always is spending time the youngest member of the family, Alexander.

Though this time, we were lucky to catch Alex between sporting commitments; Dad, Declan, admiring Alex’s latest football award (Gaelic football, of course!)

Luckily, we got to watch him play basketball.

Goal! Last season Alex was the team's Most Improved Player.

One afternoon, Alex took Greg and I out to show us the stables where he rides horses. He's a brilliant young man - and great fun!

We are truly blessed to have Alexander the Greatest - and his parents - in our lives. ❤️
