In 2015 a group of local and international artists descended on a social housing precinct in Via Tor Marancia, about a 20-minute bus ride from the centre of Rome.
The aim of the urban renewal initiative was to breathe new life into what previously had been a neglected neighbourhood. The artists, who collaborated with local residents in planning the project, created eighteen murals in all.
The results of their work are remarkable and Via Tor Marancia has been transformed into a public contemporary art precinct that people from around the world now come to enjoy.

The six packs of Brisvegas suburbs could really do with this sort of commitment.
