Today is our last day in Bologna. We’re three months into our wonderful Italian adventure and it’s time to move on.
If you asked us whether those three months have flown, we’d say yes – and no. You know that thing where it’s hard to understand where the time has gone, but if you recall something specific that happened back when it seems forever ago? That’s how it is for us now, reflecting on our time in Bologna.
We’ve certainly loved it here; we’ve eaten fabulous food, made some wonderful friends, enjoyed many unforgettable experiences and even learned a bit of the language along the way. After three months in Bologna our life here has rhythm and routine. We’re comfortable.
But if ‘challenge ourselves’ is one of the objectives then feeling comfortable is reason enough to move on. There are things about Bologna that we’ll miss (we’re already planning a return visit next year), but we’re really looking forward to the next stage of our adventure – a month in beautiful Florence.
So it’s arrivederci Bologna (for now) and ciao Firenze. We can hardly wait!
